What is a pulled pork burger?
Pulled pork is an American barbecue dish, more specifically a dish of the Southern U.S., based on shredded barbecued pork shoulder. The meat becomes so soft it can be actually pulled apart with your hands.
Serving pulled pork in a burger is a great alternative to beef for when you want a burger but also want it to be different. You won’t need a knife for it. To create the pulled pork, the pork shoulder has to be cooked low and slow for at least 12 hours. Third Wave’s meat for the burger, cooked in our amazing smoker, is also infused with delicious smoky flavours.

To properly do a pulled pork burger is quite hard. It is easy to cook the meat low and slow, but to get the spices right, to pick the right wood and have it continuously cook it for 12 hours is quite a feat. It is easy for restaurants to get their meat delivered third party to make it easier for them. That’s why Third Wave BBQ is different. With our in-house smokers and expert chefs, you can see the meat getting smoked in many of our images, and then in the above video, have the pork getting pulled apart.
